Completed Book signings

Book Signing, Cottonwood Hooked on Books, July 28, 2012

Picture
I will be doing a signing of The Wham Curse at Hooked on Books in historic downtown Cottonwood, Arizona on July 28, 2012. The event will be held in the afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00. Hooked on Books is located at 148 S. Main St.  July 28 is particularly appropriate for a story set in ranch country because the Verde Valley celebrates the largest National Day of the Cowboy event in the United States; Sedona is hosting its 8th annual Day of the Cowboy Celebration.

Larry Wolfe retired after forty years as an artisan jeweler in Illinois to manage the store on behalf of the family trust. In addition to books, he also offers vintage jewelry, custom jewelry designing, jewlery repair and artisan glass cutting.

I will be signing my book The Wham Curse at The Book Bank, 420 Live Oak Street, (NE corner Live Oak St & Keystone Ave.) Miami, Arizona 85539 on Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.  The entrance to The Book Bank is from Keystone Ave.  Curb parking is available on Keystone, Live Oak, and nearby Sullivan St.  For more on The Book Bank, click here.

This event will feature two authors, myself and Kenneth Zieglar long time science educator at Globe High School and Gila Pueblo College, and developer of the Gila Astronomical Observatory in Globe.  He will be signing books from his Tears of Heaven Series.

Two or three times during the event I will present a short fifteen minute presentation/discussion on the writing of The Wham Curse and the "back-story" that inspired the mystery. Please plan on buying a book (discounted price) at The Book Bank for my signature.

Book Signing, Eastern Arizona Museum, May 19, 2012 (completed)

Picture
I will be signing The Wham Curse at the Eastern Arizona Museum and Historical Society in Pima, Arizona on Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. I'm pleased to be "returning to the scene" of the story, I hope to see lots of friends and family from the Gila Valley and environs. The Museum is located at 2 North Main (US70 & Main), Pima, AZ 85543 and houses interesting exhibits of Native American artifacts, the pioneering and settlement of the area, and many historic photos. It also contains a fine archive of community and family histories, genealogy, and photographic files. While there take the opportunity to retrace the paths of Bren, Al, & Manny to see the places
where the story took place, maybe even try a green chili burro or have some great ice cream treats. The Museum phone number is
928.485.9400.

In the news:

Radio Interview:  I will be interviewed about The Wham Curse by Carl Watson on KATO Radio in Safford, Arizona, on Saturday morning, May 19, 2012, from 7:30-8:00 AM.  We will discuss the book, related history and back-story, my background, writing and publishing, and anything else Mr. Watson asks about.
